A little story

"Floating and Unsure" finished on the 27th of March 2026.

Hii, this is my most recent painting. I find that this painting gives of a hint of surrealism. It kind of looks like my "Alien 50's" painting (down below), which would make sense because right before this I finished that one :). I tried to show elements of nature, the ocean/sea and the unknown.

The background is something that I once tried and now is my signature thing. This background exists out of three metallic colours; champagne, gold and rose gold. I spray painted it in a nice pattern. The result gives a dreamy shiny canvas. If you walk past the painting you can see it reflect light and because of the patterns and different colours, every other angle looks different. That is what I like, you don't know where to look. Especially with the acrylic painted objects over it that don't reflect light makes it even more mystical. 

After the background is dry, I paint over it with white acrylic paint. This is the most free part of painting for me because here I just draw what I feel like, which are the organic, elegant shapes. Then after that I color it and add more shapes, which takes the most time. I find that the dark boxed shapes that I added give the painting a hint of surrealism.
